The EEOC is the federal agency that is called upon when there’s an argument the employer has discriminating against an employee, the employee makes a filing with the EEOC and there’s a whole process whereby the EEOC investigates the claim of discrimination and talks with both the employer and the employee and it’s actually something that has to be done before a lawsuit for certain types of actions can be formally filed within the court system so they don’t actually finalize the resolution of it but they are instrumental in the process of filing a discrimination claim.
