Federal Employment Attorney Raven Hall, Esq. of Tully Rinckey PLLC presents “Understanding Your Rights Amid Sequestration” – A webinar addressing the concerns of federal government employees under the federal budget sequester of 2013.

There has been much discussion on Capitol Hill with respect to whether sequestration will occur on March 1st or if lawmakers will reach an alternative to reduce federal spending. If sequestration occurs, it will automatically reduce federal agencies’ budgetary resources in non-exempt accounts for the remainder of the fiscal year. This mechanism could result in several federal agencies implementing administrative furloughs to absorb these reductions, which are necessitated by cuts in funding. As a union leader or member, it is important to understand how an administrative furlough will affect bargaining unit employees, and what, if anything, you can do to mitigate the impact.

If you have any questions regarding the impact that sequestration or an administrative furlough may have on bargaining unit employees, or related bargaining rights, please contact one of Tully Rinckey PLLC’s union legal services attorneys.
